Q: Old photobooth library from macbook pro replaced new photobooth library

I had a Macbook pro before, and switched to a macbook air 6 months ago.

I took a photo today on Photobooth, and when I went to see it, a popup window (don't recall what it said) came up and asked if I want to store into a specific folder. (Can't remember what it said verbatim).

Photobooth opens but my macbook air photobooth library has been replaced by my old macbook pro photobooth library.

The photos I took today were really important, and I am wondering if there is any way to retrieve them.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), Photobooth

Maybe.  Because you don't know what was said or what you did (exactly), this will be trial and error.

    (1) try making another image and see if saving that one gives you a clue as to where the previous ones went.

    (2) Control-Click on your User/Pictures/Photo Booth Library folder and select "Show package Contents."

You may find your images in one of the folders there.  If you do, DO NOT MOVE THEM.

Instead, Option-Drag the ones you want to work on to another folder to get a copy you can use.
