Q: speech to text capability on macbook pro

I have a macbook pro with 10.7.5 Is there any way I can get the dictation and speech capability of 10.8?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Is there a free app, or download update from Apple - mountain lion has a built in app with versiion 10.8.
