Q: Splitting an application window between two screens
I would like to see if this can be changed so that I could split an application window between the two screens and maintain a complete visual of the window split between both screens. Currently whenever I drag a window to an other screen whatever overhang that should be left on the first screen simply dissapears.
MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

Hi FXT14,
Happy Holidays! The resource below will explain how to spread your application window across two displays:
OS X Yosemite: Connect multiple displays to your Mac
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH19039
Set up the displays as an extended desktop
You can arrange your displays in any configuration to create an extended desktop. For example, you can set your displays side by side to create one large continuous desktop.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Displays, then click Arrangement.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
OS X: Using multiple displays in Mavericks - Apple Support
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202780
If you need an app window to span multiple displays, deselect the option "Displays have separate Spaces" in the Mission Control pane of System Preferences.
Cheers,
- Judy
