Q: Itunes Library Missing!!
I have been saving all my music to my external hard drive. My laptop was getting pretty full. I got a virus on my computer and had to remove it and reinstall everything. So now my computer is running great. I went to download ITunes 11 and followed the step by step guide. However only music that was saved to the cloud was there and none of my playlists or anything. I see the playlists and libraries on my external HD how do I get them to be included on my iTunes account. I didn't know I needed to save anything (while in iTunes before I erased my hd and started over) since I knew everything was saved to my external HD. I'm running Windows 7.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
My though from what you described is that your newly downloaded iTunes is simply not associated with your library you were previously using on your external drive. The new iTunes have probably simply recreated a new empty library in which you had downloaded what was part of the cloud. This can be validated by going in the Advanced tab in the iTunes pref and see the path for the current iTunes library file.
Swtiching from libraries is simple; hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu, choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes (iTunes: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file or create a new one - Apple Support)
Let me know if this solve your issue, thanks,
seb
