Q: Shared videos-how to get off my iPhone...

Merry Christmas! My son shared a couple of videos of my granddaughter via iCloud Photo Sharing and they are on my iPhone 6. How do I get them into my photo library on my Mac? Simple question but I can't figure it out! Judy

    Hi Judy,

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

Once photos and videos have been shared with you using iCloud Photo Sharing, these files can also be accessed in iPhoto on your Mac.

First, make sure iCloud is set up on your Mac. You can refer to the steps at this link for help:

Apple - iCloud - Learn how to set up iCloud on all your devices.

Next, you can access photos and videos that have been shared with you from iPhoto.

Here are some specific steps for locating and copying the videos of your granddaughter to your Mac for safekeeping!

Follow these steps to manually import photos and videos in shared streams to your iPhoto library:

    1. Open iPhoto and choose Shared > iCloud in the Source list.
    2. Select a shared stream under Family and Friends' Streams.
    3. You can import all new content or choose which items you want to import:
      • To import all new content, click Add To, then click Import.
      • To import specific items, open the shared stream, hold down Command, and select what you want to import. Click Add To, then Click Import.
