Dec 27, 2014 4:00 AM in response to bretkennedyby BenB,Audition will not record better than FCPX. Any audio software will only record what the mic feeds it. The issue is at the microphone, not in your software. What microphone are you using? If it isn't up to par, not much you can do about that.
1st, us a pop filter.
2nd, hand a quilt or blanket around you to isolate the sound better. Or get a Reflexion Filter.
3rd, learn proximity effect. The closer you are to the mic, the more bass, the further, the more trebble.
But if you are simply getting too much room noise (background noise), that is in your physical set up, and no software will magically fix that for you. You need to control your environment better.
