Silverlight requires an Intel processor, something the pre-2006 iMacs in this forum lack. Is it possible you have a newer iMac? Please do "About this Mac" from your Apple menu and, form the resulting window, tell us what it reports for your Mac OS version and your processor, the two items I've indicated with red arrows in the image below:
Currently you show "iOS 8.1.2" as your operating system. iOS cannot run on any Mac computer, only Apple's mobile devices. When you find your true OS version please consider correcting your equipment profile. It will mean faster answers int eh future because those helping do not have to answer your with a question for more info first, as I've had to do here.
