Q: can u use a 2013 macbook air to start up a router that needs a phone line connection

I have a new router that I need to set up.  I only have a macbook air with usb connector but this needs  telephone connection.  Is there such a cord out there that would work.

You need to get the Ethernet adapter for your MacBook so you can connect via a cable to the modem. You should be able to pick one up at an Apple store or you can buy one through the online Apple store.

If your Mac has a Thunderbolt port, you can get the Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter instead of the USB to Ethernet one.
