Q: Home Sharing connection issue

I've activated Home Sharing in iTunes and shared the library but when ever I try to connect the red wheel gets halfway and stops, I'll then get the message "Unable to turn on Home Sharing 'OK'". I've checked the Username & Password on all devises and alls well there, the IOS is up to date and the WIFI is on. Does anyone have any ideas?

iMac, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

Thanks Allan, the firewall was set to block incoming access to iTunes.
