Dec 28, 2014 3:15 PM in response to Socorro-Macby chattphotos,★HelpfulEasy now, Which iPhone do you have? Knowing that will help for advising on the next step.
I can say the 5S is what works to get the apps. Here's the reference:
Free Apple apps for your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with iOS 8 - Apple Support
Read at the very bottom, Free apps, on the 7 listed.
http://www.apple.com/iphone-5s/specs/
Are you trying to access the appstore from a different country than the USA?
Have you tried rebooting the phone?

Dec 28, 2014 8:40 PM in response to Socorro-Macby KC7GNM,Because you don't have a 5S or newer. Apple never said that they would be free for everyone. Just pony up and buy the program if you need it that bad.

Jan 4, 2015 8:21 AM in response to KC7GNMby Socorro-Mac,You di NOT help at ALL KC7GNM, but Apple finally made it available at my iTunes account a day after somo of my contacts.
That truly was a strong motivation for me not to take my device back to store after Holidays.
Thanks Apple!
Wish you all a Happy New Year without the idea that it is ONLY money that can solve yr prblms. It is NOT !! Kindness, generosity and intelligence play strong roles there.

Jan 4, 2015 10:11 AM in response to Socorro-Macby chattphotos,Socorro, this kind of aggressive behavior reduces motivation for others to help you, it is not wise to say the advice given was not helpful as we've said more than once, we're telling you what Apple has told everyone from the very beginning.
If I may ask, how did you get the iWork apps on a 4S?
