Q: iMac 27 5K Bootcamp no keyboard or mouse
Just got the 5K iMac (love it)!
I have been fighting with this issue for about a day.
When I try to install Win7 via boot camp I am able to get to the Windows install screen after creating the DOS partition but my wireless keyboard and mouse to do not respond. I am unable to select anything on the install screen where you confirm the language. I'm basically helpless.
I browsed around the forums and tried a few things.
I originally had an 8GB USB 3.0 flash drive so I then got an 8GB USB 2.0 flash drive (took much longer to install the software and Windows ISO).
I've tried using a wired keyboard and mouse but they don't seem to help.
Not sure where to go next.
Thanks in advance,
BradmanOH

Things finally worked!
I gave it a rest last night, got up and removed all the bootcamp partitions bringing me back to "normal".
Brought out an external USB DVD drive and a Win7 x64 disc.
Started up Boot Camp Assistant and created the partition (100 GB) along with loading the drivers onto the USB 2.0 2GB flash drive.
Then the system rebooted on its own and used the external DVD to start the Windows installer.
The "new" thing this time is that I saw a spinning circle during the startup which moved with my BT mouse.
It could not install to the BOOTCAMP drive partition though, came up with an error that it had to be formatted FAT32 (which I thought it was). I selected the BOOTCAMP partition and formatted it. (be VERY careful you select the right partition because the Fusion drive has an SSD that is smallish {120 GB}, and if you format that one you will have to do a lot of Apple work to get things going again - as in a time machine restore. Trust me )
I was able to use the Apple wireless keyboard and mouse to do the complete Windows 7 x64 install. The Boot camp installer fired up right after Windows finished and put all the drivers in the Windows system. All the mouse features work in Windows.
Everything is right with the world.
Remember there are two types of people; those that have lost data and those that will loose data.
Thanks for everything,
