Jan 7, 2015 8:25 AM in response to avinashy2jby KiltedTim,The CDMA models of the iPad (and iPhone) do not support the so-called "CDMA SIMs" that are available in some countries. CDMA iPads (and iPhones) can ONLY be used on the carrier they were originally sold for. If you have a Verizon or Sprint CDMA iPad, it can not be used on any other carrier.

Jan 7, 2015 8:49 AM in response to avinashy2jby Phil0124,Identify your iPad model - Apple Support
There is no difference among iPad Airs. All Models support both GSM and CDMA. However, CDMA support is for the sim less type. No iPad supports CDMA-Sims.
CDMA support on iPads is only for the network they were sold for. So the CDMA portion of a Verizon iPad can only be used on Verizon.
What carrier was it intended for?

Jan 7, 2015 9:06 AM in response to avinashy2jby Phil0124,iPads only support GSM sim cards. Not CDMA-sim cards.
CDMA hardware is built into the iPad and only works with the carrier it was sold for. When you bought the iPad the store would have made you choose a mobile/cellular carrier for the iPad did you not?
GSM hardware on an iPad is unlocked and can take GSM sim card from any carrier.
GSM Sim cards are different to CDMA sim cards.
CDMA sim cards are not supported.
You cannot use the iPad with CDMA sim cards.
You can use the iPad with an GSM carrier

Start by asking whoever you bought it from.
