Jan 4, 2015 12:12 PM in response to RoRoGordonby Mike Sombrio,Insert your original gray startup disc and reatart while holding the C key, choose your language and at the next screen select Disk Utilities from the menu bar on top. Select your hard drive and click erase. When DU is done quit and it will take you back to the installer screen. Install OS X. When it's done shut off the macbook so that the new owner can set it up as their own when they get it.

Jan 7, 2015 1:12 AM in response to RoRoGordonby Vishal2014,You can wipe your Macintosh HD with Stellar Wipe Mac software. This tools provides 3, 7 and 35 passes to ensure data is completely wiped out, beyond recovery. Hope this helps.
