Q: ios8 block unwanted calls and text messages

Is there a way to block unwanted phone calls and text messages from one number during certain hour of the day?

iphone6 with latest iOS.

No it's all or nothing.

You can look into do not disturb. Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Or you can go into Call Listing -- Tap on the number and Block the caller - but like razmee said - it is all or nothing - once blocked they stay blocked until you change that in Settings -- Phone

Yes, you can set to "do not disturb' for all except those in your favorites.

Sure you can set a schedule to block phone calls and message: Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

OP wants to block just one number - the do not disturb cannot be limited to one number
