Q: Where are the plist or pref files on FCP X (10.1.4)

I'm having issues with sharing (burning a DVD) as well as just outputting any file....It has all worked well for months but now I'm thinking I need to toss the plist files but can't find them...Any help ?

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), 16 GB Ram

I imported new media and the disk utility showed everything fine on the external hard drive which is strange since I get the spinning beach ball quite a bit with that drive now and it often freezes up the finder when just exploring the drive.
