Jan 8, 2015 10:25 AM in response to Knuyawkaby Phil0124,USB 3 is backwards compatible. So even if you don't have USB 3.0 ports you can connect USB 3 devices to it. They'll just run at USB 2.0 speeds instead.

> About This Mac > System Report > Scroll down the left Column and select USB > the USB info will be displayed in the right column.

To be correct, you can connect USB 3 devices to it but they will only work art USB 2 speeds (as Phil mentioned).
