Jan 8, 2015 1:45 PM in response to Eric Rootby Saipan,It is an Apple magic mouse. I also had the same probem with my trackpad and with another mouse on my MacBook Air. I would thing it is a YOSEMITE problem since it has happened on two computers.

Feb 13, 2015 7:55 AM in response to seventy oneby G4odl,I started having left and right click button problems almost immediately after upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.2. Problem occurs with wireless mouse, wired mouse, or bluetooth. Only solution found so far is to totally shut down and restart, but this does not always work. I have found no particular application that causes the problem.

Mar 8, 2015 11:57 PM in response to G4odlby AceAndEmber,Just today, both my iMac late 2013 and my Netbook Pro Retina, both using Yosemite 10.10.2 experienced the same problem.
The laptop, I restored to an older version from the Airport Extreme and the mouse worked for a little while.... now it's locked up..
The iMac, SMC reset "seems" to have removed the problem. So far... But still trying to be sure I'm executing the SMC reset on the laptop properly. Looks like more testing for me... yay... (not)
edit to add: built in track on laptop, bluetooth mouse AND USB mouse all tried

Mar 10, 2015 12:09 PM in response to AceAndEmberby AceAndEmber,Found another thread that said that a bluetooth device might have been trying to attach... even when I wasn't using the bluetooth mouse, the issue was there. Disabled bluetooth for now and haven't seen the issue come back. Thought I'd update this thread in case it happens to someone else sometime.

Mar 10, 2015 2:41 PM in response to Saipanby G4odl,I solved the problem by disabling bluetooth which of course makes my trackpad useless.
