Q: RSS.MAC.Premiereradio.net???

When I update podcasts a login window with the message "To access this podcast, you need to log into RSS.MAC.Premiereradio.net," then the phrase "your password will be sent in the clear." There is a name and password box. No matter what name and password I type in nothing registers. I have to hit the "cancel" button each time. I have no app for Premiereradio. I have seen one post in the support forums that suggested deleting the heading if it is in your library, but i don't have any headings anywhere for premiereradio.net.
I just want to get rid of this pop-up!
thank you!

Premiere Radio is a USA organization that runs a number of streamed and podcasted shows, including Rush Limbaugh: they have password-protected the podcasts and you have to obtain a username and password from them - and pay for them. Their main site is at http://www.premiereradio.com/ , though they don't provide an obvious link to start a subscription, so good luck with that if you feel like paying.

Incidentally, the iTune's Store terms of use prohibit password-protected podcasts, but probably these are only available by manually subscribing, which would get round that.

not sure if you ever got an answer to this. but after dealing with this for a LONG time, i decided to check things out more closely. this seems to have worked for me:

    1. click podcast icon or select podcasts, to go to podcasts.

    2. Find "Podcasts Menu" on upper right corner - should say "Podcasts" with a tiny down arrow, indicating this is actually a menu.

    3. Click to open menu and select "Episode List".

    4. Even though premiere radio link podcast doesn't show up in normal podcasts list, it should show up in the episode list.

    5. After deleting that link (by right clicking and selecting option to delete), i have not seen that login prompt. so hopefully this IS resolved.

NO IDEA HOW THIS STARTED, THOUGH. DON'T RECALL SUBSCRIBING TO ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF THE APPLE STORE. But very happy if I no longer have to deal with this!

So far, you've been the only one to correctly and easily address this problem.
