How can I make a still frame from iMovie 11? (also works in iMovie 10)
this User Tipp describes a method using a well recommended, free 3rd party app
or, just some simple keyboard-mambo:
• playback your video full-screen shift-cmd-F
• hit Space to pause, use arrow-keys to nudge thru video
• hit cmd-shift-3 to take a screen grab
• open resulting file in Preview, export as .jpg ..........

Jan 11, 2015 7:48 PM in response to Karsten Schlüterby Thomas Gray,I move the pointer over the video to the point where I want to export an image. I then Choose the "Share" icon and select "Image". Select the location where you want to save the file and voila, there is a JPEG still frame of where the pointer was when you selected "Share".
