Q: Music files not found

Hi there,

I'm a new Mac user, having a few issues with iTunes I've got a Macbook with all my iTunes media stored on the hard drive of my Airport Time Machine. I copied the entire iTunes folder from my Windows laptop and copied onto the Airport's hard drive. I want to keep as many files as I can off the Mac books hard drive, so the machine stays nice and fast (that and the solid state drives aren't massive).

When I launched iTunes i selected the iTunes Library.itl file, and it shows all my music files. The machine has been authorised, and i've signed in with my Apple ID. When I go to play the music it says that it can't find the original file, and asks me to search. If I do this manually I can find the music, and play it, but id have the do that for every music file.

What have I done wrong/steps missed?

Thanks in advance for your help

Will
