Q: New MacBook can I install OS 10.6?
I need to replace my iMac (running OS 10.6) with a new MacBook so that I can work anywhere. The trouble is my software - Adobe CS 3 - is old and I can't afford to upgrade. Can I simply install OS 10.6 (I have the operating system installation disks) and Adobe CS 3 on the MacBook and carry on as normal? This would be great as there would be no learning curve, I have everything set up as I want it and I'm very happy with 10.6. I'm guessing I could simply use my Time Machine disk to move all my stuff over, including the operating system and software on one simple go?
Or would an older operating system on a brand new MacBook miss out on hardware features? Would it not work properly?
Thanks
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)
