it will only download about 1800 photos, I have tried putting in event by event.

Meaning that you have tried just syncing one additional event in addition to the 1800 photos that you have been able to sync all along? This shouldn't matter, but how are the other photos that do sync arranged in iPhoto? Albums, events?
What happens when this process takes place? Do you get an error message? Does the sync just stop? I'm trying to determine a pattern and Im wondering if a particular event or album has an issue that causes this.
Have you tried removing iPod Photo Cache folder?

I Sign into iTunes and go into photos and click all events and then sync and it starts to sinc and finishes
when you looKmart the amount of photos to be downloaded it says 5000 but when download finished it says 1600.

Jan 13, 2015 5:27 AM in response to thomasfontannazby Demo,The next step would be to try to sync the photos again. If you tried to sync, and it didn't work, I'm sort of at a loss now. If you haven't tried to sync the photos again, restart your Mac and then try again.
