Jan 13, 2015 6:23 AM in response to kk99025by Imp68,It's probably your internet speed, or something on your computer is impeding the speed. Try to do the updates from safe mode. OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? - Apple Support

Aug 19, 2015 5:31 PM in response to Imp68by jdwield,I'm having same issue. Not the internet - speedtest shows 40mb/s download speed and not having issue downloading anything else. It says 2 days to download 2gb... only having issue with app store. Same computer and iOS as kk99025

Aug 19, 2015 6:31 PM in response to kk99025by Northbrookguy,I'm having the same problem !
I'm on 45mbps AT&T u-verse link and everything else works fine including speed test.
Updates from the MAC App store, updates for my ipad & iphone from my devices or via itunes on my MAC are also slow.
Updates that usually complete in seconds are now taking hours.
I had the same situation a few days ago & it started working better but it is now back again.
The problem appears to be related to Apples downloading servers.

Sep 25, 2016 9:27 AM in response to Imp68by jerryfromTBD,It isn't the internet speed. In the case of the latest iTubes update, the App store update says 6 hrs + to download. After 4 hours it still said 4 hours remaining. I cancelled. Googled "iTunes Update" and downloaded in less than 10 minutes. Seems to be a problem on the App store side.
