Q: Has anyone experienced "No Sim Card" when iPhone gets cold?

I have now experienced twice while being outside in cold weather( winter) that my phone gets the message "No Sim Card". I have no connection to phone line or internet. It disappears after the phone has been warmed up and turned off then turned back on again.

This started after iOS7 update, the latest software update didn't improve this. I have never had this problem before and used my phone in cold temperatures many times and for several hours.

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4, Started after installing iOS 7

Have you ever dropped your phone? It is possible the SIM card has moved slightly. You can open the SIM tray and reseat the SIM. See this support document for troubleshooting SIM problems.http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4148

Mine does it in cold weather! I tell my family that Siri doesn't like cold weather, and neither do I.

This has happened to me three times now.  I have no problems running on a treadmill, and the situation never occurred before during my normal outside ventures.  But, when the temp has been 22 or below (as it has been all three times this has happened), I've had the "No SIM Card" prompt.  Takes a few re-starts to get it going again.  (Likely, it takes a while for the card to warm up again.)

    Glad it isn't just me!

I hope this can be resolved.

    Thanks.

    The iPhone's operating temperature range is 32° to 95° F (0° to 35° C)

It will not operate correctly outside of that range. That's why winter coats have inside pockets for cell phones and other personal electronics.
