Q: Mac Mini not sharing iTunes library in home sharing

Ok I replaced my MBP which was running home sharing just fine with 3 apple tvs. But after migrating to a Mac mini, home sharing won't work anymore with all 3 apple tvs. The Apple TV still detects the home sharing but it says i'm not connected. I know it detects this cause whenever I start home sharing on iTunes, the apple logo and the word "tv" appears, and when I turn off home sharing, the logo changes. So That tells me it's not the Apple TV that's the problem but the Mac mini. I tried to check sharing preferences but that still didn't work. Any suggestions?

iTunes version is 12.01

Apple TVs are all updated as of this writing.

I'm using Apple Extreme(newest as of this writing)

iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1.1

Welcome to the club. Years of flawless home sharing and yosemite/itunes 12 has ruined it on my mini too.
Works, fails. Library corruption.
Reboot, build a new library - works again for a while.

Read all the posts on this apple. There is something amis with itunes home sharing and itunes 12 / yosemite.

Tried that but none if it worked. But I did find a fix. Just go to System Preference>Sharing and then change the Computer name. I know it's a strange fix, but it worked for me.
