Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that your Mac is experiencing Wi-Fi issues and realize how frustrating situations like this can be. To troubleshoot, I would first suggest reading and working through the steps provided in the attached article. If the issue continues, please let me know a little more about your specific situation. Do you have trouble joining the network or do you have random disconnects after joining? Does this happen on one network or multiple networks?

Just so you know, the geniuses at the Apple genius bar were not able to fix the problem.
This is been an intermittent problem specially with attaching emails to a Browser for email purposes since the day Yosemite was released. I might go back to Mavericks in the future if this doesn't get resolved soon.
No problem with Mavericks at all and no other networking problems with my MacBook air.
I can do attachments but only when I use parallels 10 and Internet explorer. Can you believe that?
I suspect it's related to the vintage of my MacBook air. Would you like the serial number?
Please advise any suggestions.
Thank you!
Alan
