Q: Opening old Stuffit (.sit) files

I came across an old archive of files that were stuffed using Stuffit many moons ago.  When I try to uncompress these .sit files using OS X's "Open" command, I get the error message, "You can't open the application Stuffit Expander because the Classic Environment is no longer supported."  How can I open these old but precious files?
