Dec 16, 2014 8:10 AM in response to chaddersby G4Monster,I did this on my own two weeks ago. My sent message weren't captured and I had to embarrassingly ask customers if I had sent them emails.
I'll try this again but I'm nervous that this won't be the proper solution.
On a call with a number of business folk today at my company and others, people were laughing at Mac & Apple for not working with Exchange after the latest Yosemite update. The tone was, "See, Apple isn't a business tool. I don't know how anyone uses that stuff. It's used by daughter and wife."
I would have thought and expected with this IBM partnership that Apple would be on-the-button with regards to business usage. They've been supporting ActiveSync on iPhones for years and Macs are everywhere in business but the Exchange support has gotten worse.

Dec 22, 2014 7:25 PM in response to Michel MLby renrel22,AAahhh - I'm having the Same problem. Where can we report the issue??

Jan 19, 2015 5:15 AM in response to Michel MLby rusky_26,My same problem started after I used 'TinkerTool' to change my default font for applications. After I reset back to system defaults through the tool and restarted the Mac then Mail returned back to normal and I no longer had this problem.
Hope this helps someone.

Jan 29, 2015 8:01 AM in response to Michel MLby clive12,Had the same issue, on mine it appears to be related to the notifications that appear in the right hand corner.
If I click close on each notification or close all via the notifications tab the messages are still there but not shown.
If I click double on each message notification the messages are retained and shown.
I am not sure if its a bug or if its the way the notifications are designed to work.

Jan 30, 2015 1:08 PM in response to Michel MLby ColinT1970,My temporary workaround is to search for emails containing "e" - rare for there to be an email that doesn't contain one somewhere!

Apr 14, 2015 2:55 PM in response to Michel MLby Stormpad,Just started using my new iMac today, delivered with Yodemite and a nice new Apple Mail app. (I used MS Entourage on my old Mac). But it doesn't work at all.
First of all the mails are blank like others describe here. But also the entire inbox goes empty after a while. I have found this to be (absurdly) related to the port number in my account settings. It needs to be 587 as dictaded by my provider. This works on other computers. But after setting this and saving, the Mail application defaults back to port 110 after a while. And this appears to be when all of my mail disappears.
Opening preferences and setting the port back to 587 brings the mail back. Although not in the content preview pane to the right (or bottom in Classic View). Still blank.
So... any recommended third party mail programs I can get and have everything working right now? Or do we wait for a fix?
EDIT: this was a general comment and not meant to be a response to Michel ML especially, sorry.
EDIT 2: Disabling SSL suddenly fixes everything right now, but for how long?

May 25, 2015 8:41 AM in response to Stormpadby lcats1,Prior to reading your message, I discovered the same thing myself, that changing the port from 110 to 587 made everything reappear for a short time. Disabling SSL helped some of the time, not all. Has anyone gone further than this?

May 27, 2015 7:39 AM in response to Michel MLby Mykimus,All had been working fine for me since the Yosemite upgrade (or as well as could be expected with Apple Mail). Then this problem suddenly appeared today...and it persists.
After a minute or two, the pane showing the list of messages goes completely blank. Selecting another mailbox or folder and going back to my Exchange (Office 365) mailbox causes the messages to reappear...but they inevitably disappear again a short time later.
Closed and reopened mail. Didn't help.
Rebooted. No love.
Rebuilt mailbox (although the "Rebuild" option was initially greyed out for this mailbox...but it eventually became available again). Still busted.
This does not seem to happen when I have my Gmail or Yahoo mailboxes selected. It's only happening when I have the Exchange mailbox selected. The most maddening part is that it has been working fine up until now...I guess I've just been lucky with the Mail app. The machine was left on overnight (with the app running) and no known updates occurred overnight, so I'm completely baffled as to why this issue has suddenly reared its ugly head. So bizarre. I guess I'm going back to Airmail for now (which has its own set of uniquely weird problems).

Jul 31, 2015 10:54 AM in response to chaddersby balgenbruder,There's a work around that does the trick for me.
In my case this problem happens only in "organize by conversations" view.
Switch the exchange mailbox back to show by date and voila the content pops up.
After this you can change back to thread view and it is still there.
Takes you only seconds and you're good again.
Pls. Apple concentrate on getting exchange server mail improved.
One other thing that is not working yet is automatic out of office replies from the server.

Aug 15, 2015 9:13 AM in response to Linc Davisby teachereck,No mail app should be this aggravating. My simple solution: Microsoft Outlook. New Office 2016 version way ahead of archaic "Mail."

Aug 16, 2015 2:51 AM in response to teachereckby balgenbruder,Outlook is a nightmare, this is why I went away from it.
Constant crashes, rebuild of database etc.
Mail has to me one big advantage that I have not seen in OL yet.
In thread view I can see on the right window all mails in full including my replies.
Attachments such as pdf are shown so I can read them inline.
Furthermore there are numerous little tools enhancing mail such as mail hub that one cannot find for OL.
With Yosemite mail is now working stable even with large exchange server mailboxes.

Nov 5, 2015 7:07 PM in response to Linc Davisby huntiteatit,I was having this same problem and tried what Chadders suggested below--"Rebuild Mailbox". This worked. Here's a link: Mail (Yosemite): Rebuild mailboxes
