Nov 16, 2013 9:56 PM in response to RA_Mac_Book_Userby Toddwang,Just don't put iso in your flash drive. When open bootcamp, choose the directory of iso which is on the hard drive of your Mac. Hope things will work for you.

Aug 5, 2014 6:25 AM in response to RA_Mac_Book_Userby Junkee41,Finally figured it out after reading through these posts.. Thanks guys!!
I was trying to create the bootable USB using the Win7 ISO file that was stored on the USB..
All you need to do is move the ISO file somewhere onto your MacBook.. Then unmount the ISO using Disk Utilities and then run Boot Camp..
My USB was formatted to FAT32.. Not sure if it needs to be for it to work?

Aug 19, 2014 4:02 PM in response to RA_Mac_Book_Userby Alyia2002,For me, the problem was my USB drive was the problem, not the ISO file. I went to disk utility and on the left I selected my USB drive. I went to erase, and changed the format to MS-DOS (FAT) and I went back to boot camp and retried it and it worked great!

Sep 23, 2014 1:27 AM in response to RA_Mac_Book_Userby NguyenVuongGl,I have the same problem. Then I find out the problem was the iso file. If you are using a torrent software like Utorrent to download the iso file. Make sure you must quick Utorrent before created an boot usb. Hope it work !

Jan 19, 2015 11:44 AM in response to JakobGKby Vegemitekid,Thanks JacobGK. this worked perfectly, although I'm not sure why I had to move the iso image to the desktop this week. I had bootcamped another MacBook Air last week and it worked successfully with the ISO image on the USB. Anyway, thanks again, I'm off and running!

Jan 19, 2015 9:57 PM in response to RA_Mac_Book_Userby Kurt_YO_Gurt,Hey, I'm getting the same error.
I just purchased Windows 8.1, and used the Media Creator tool from Microsoft to generate the media necessary for a flash drive install, and then created an ISO from that which was placed in my documents. However, even though I eject the ISO before selecting it in boot camp assistant, after it formats my other USB drive it mounts the ISO in disk utility again, causing the error message to display.
Please! Any help would be huge!

Feb 28, 2015 6:16 PM in response to RA_Mac_Book_Userby b.angell08,I kept getting the same error - listened to everyone else's advice with unmounting the image, trying a new flashdrive, etc - then realized that I was trying to mount the Boot Camp iso instead of the Windows 7 iso!

Jun 3, 2015 7:44 AM in response to RA_Mac_Book_Userby Chevysmenda,I can't seem to get this working...
I tried unmounting but my .iso keeps on mounting by itself when I start the process.
My .Iso is on my Mac's hard drive btw.

Jun 3, 2015 10:07 AM in response to Chevysmendaby Loner T,Are you accidentally mounting the ISO? I have several ISOs and I can manually mount/unmount them. Right Click on the ISO and click on Eject.
