Have the same problem. Upgraded to Yosemite and experienced a world or problems i.e. latency, freezing, thunderbolt problems. It worked fine before this awful update and for the past 2 months I have searched high and low for a solution. I recently downgraded back to Maverick and it still my thunderbolt to HDMI (TV) still doesn't work. It appears my TV sends the signal to the MBP as the screen flickers and the name of the TV appears in Display Pref but nothing appears on the TV. Yosemite killed my thunderbolt. I'm starting to hate Apple products as being a loyal customer for so many years, owning multiple devices up to computers.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
