Jan 21, 2015 4:15 AM in response to dobby12srby Barney-15E,They don't have GPS, so the location is derived from known WiFi Access point locations.
Your WiFi was in the database with a known location, so your devices that see it will assume they are nearby.
As best I can tell, using your iPhone with both cellular and WiFi will eventually update the location.

Jan 28, 2015 5:46 PM in response to Barney-15Eby MikeLenich,I have this same issue => moved 1 mile from one house to another. While on WiFi, Maps shows my current location as at my previous house. On cellular Maps shows my current location as my new house. Have an Airport Express N Gen1. I've done factory resets, reseting Express, still shows current location as previous house. I borrowed a NetGear wireless router I use at work, disconnect Express, connected NetGear and logged in => Maps then showed my current location as my new house. Problem seems to be Express but don't know how to correct. Keychain problems perhaps on MacBook, iPad 1's, iPhone 4 & 5, Apple TV? I'm stumped... Any suggestions?? It's not a bit problem, just annoying especially with using directions.

Jan 28, 2015 6:00 PM in response to MikeLenichby Barney-15E,You can do whatever you want with your base station, but nothing will update Apple's database of known WiFi locations. There is nothing in your base station that provides the location. When Apple determines that the location has changed via ping reports from iOS cellular devices, your location will get closer to your actual location.

Jan 28, 2015 6:03 PM in response to MikeLenichby Drew Reece,When you reset the Airport Express did you reuse the same wifi network name? Pick a new one.
Barney-15E is correct, wifi geolocation is used for devices without GPS. Basically there is a database of wifi access points on Apples servers, the device reports what access points it can see & asks for a location based on the strength of those signals.
Renaming your access point may help the DB update info for that wifi transmitter & eventually it will become accurate again. The wifi MAC address will also be in the DB, but you cannot change that.
If you have an iPhone enable the option to submit 'diagnostic & usage' info to Apple. They will gather the wifi & GPS data from around you for the DB that Maps uses. The setting is in settings app General > About > Diagnostics & usage.
I really don't understand what you mean by 'keychain problems' - you should decrease a new topic if you want to address that issue.

Jan 28, 2015 6:17 PM in response to Drew Reeceby MikeLenich,Thank you. It's been 2 1/2 months, thought it might have updated by now.
Didn't find "Diagnostic & usage" setting under General>About>
"Keychain" => thought maybe something in MacBook keychain might be an issue

Jan 28, 2015 6:21 PM in response to MikeLenichby MikeLenich,Also, I did rename my wifi network when I reset the Airport Express
"Keychain" => I did find my old wife network name in macbook keychain, didn't know if that makes a difference. Perhaps I'll use cellular data on iPhones instead of wifi for awhile if that might help...
Thank you again...

That won't help. The iPhone needs to see the WiFi network along with cellular networks. It gets its location from the cell towers and reports that associated with the strength of available WiFi networks.
Unfortunately, Apple doesn't provide a way to directly update the database.

Diagnostics & usage is at the bottom of the 'About' screen for me on iOS 7.
