Jan 22, 2015 8:16 AM in response to BevvyBby The Art Of Sound,Quit the Logic Remote App.. (Don't just close it but quit it..)
http://osxdaily.com/2013/09/28/quit-apps-in-ios-7/
Delete Logic's CS (Control Surfaces) file
- Quit Logic Pro
- In the Finder, choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
- Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
- Press the Go button.
- Remove the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.
- Restart the computer.
If you cannot find this file you have not followed the instructions exactly as described!
Now Launch Logic Remote on your iPad and reconnect....
Test....
Note: If you use any other external control surfaces you will need to re-add those too...

Jan 22, 2015 8:46 AM in response to The Art Of Soundby BevvyB,Hey thanks for the tip - it did help the syncing issues, but the fader levels still aren't showing at all.

Jan 22, 2015 8:45 AM in response to BevvyBby The Art Of Sound,Then the issue is possibly related to your home network....
The new LR/LPX combination sends additional data back and forth and it sound like your network cannot handle it all...
To test, connect your iPad to your Mac via the USB cord.. and turn off WiFi on your iPad or Mac....
If it works fine then.. your home network/router/wifi is the issue.

Jan 22, 2015 9:03 AM in response to The Art Of Soundby BevvyB,I doubt it's my network, new wifi hub from Virgin running my 100mb line - I get extremely fast speeds to all my devices.
Connecting USB between Mac and iPad then turning Wifi off didn't do anything, just dropped the connection between the controller and Logic. Doesn't appear to be any way that I can see to get them to sync any other way than with wifi. Couldn't find a USB sync option in any menu. It certainly didn't simply switch automatically to USB sync when I turned off wifi on either device. No matter what I do, the controller dialogue on the iPad always says 'Make sure that a Mac running Logic is on the same Wi-Fi network as your iPad' and waits till I turn the Wifi back on to sync.
Thanks for trying!

Jan 22, 2015 12:34 PM in response to BevvyBby anwnn,Try putting the iPad into airplane mode, and then back to normal. Sometimes that can help with WiFi issues.
You could also try a bluetooth connection:

Your network as in Intranet not Internet......
Intranet is the network at your home or work.... by which different devices on the same network talk to each other....
Internet is the the network your devices talk to outside of your home or work.
Your Internet speed is irrelevant to this issue...
Your Intranet connectivity however, could be....
If you cannot use USB.. then as aswnn suggested, try using Bluetooth...

Jan 22, 2015 2:40 PM in response to The Art Of Soundby BevvyB,Only mentioned speed of broadband / router / etc to assure you 'it's modern' as opposed to 240 baud / tin cans / string
The bluetooth worked. And then when I went back to wifi, that worked.
Gremlins.
Thanks guys.
