Q: photo library upgrade

The iPhoto Library Upgrader won't download on to my MacBook Pro (Yosemite 10.10.1) Download bar shows it's downloading,then nothing.Ideas? I can't get to my photos with the newest iPhoto.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

A:

Look in the Applications/Utilities folder to verify that it hasn't already downloaded. That's where it will end up when it does.

What is the version of the previous iphoto ? The library upgrader is only needed if you are upgrading form ipHoto '08 9version 7.x.x) or older

As to downloadng it reboot and try again

It's def an older version: the new iPhoto icon and the former library icon both tell me I need the upgrade and link me to the appropriate Apple site. Download bar indicates it's downloading, when bar is full nothing more happens. No notice that it was successful, or not, or already in there. I've rebooted a couple times and tried again.Looked it Utilities folder each time as well aas anywhere I can think of on hard drive and Applications folder.
I live near a Mac store - time to take it in?
