Q: How to uninstall iCloud drive as I need to stay on Mavericks due to age of macbook

After my macbook had to be reset, mavericks was installed as operating system due to the age of the macbook (early 2011). Now, quite a few of my files won't open unless I install yosemite which I don't want (I will get a new macbook this year anyway). I can't info on how to uninstall iCloud drive but can't find any info about it. Please help urgently as I am a teacher and our school year starts on Tuesday. Cheers
