Im sorry... I misunderstood what you were asking....

NA doesn't mean Not Available... It means Not Applicable.....

Thats because Logic's own plugins are not stored like other AU Plugins.... as i tried to explain earlier...

The Logic plugins are installed.... they just don't get scanned in the Plugin Manager....

If it's only Logic Plugins you are seeing NA with, thats completely normal.

Apple plugins will be listed as Successfully Validated

3rd party AU plugins should be listed as Successfully Validated

Logic's own internal Plugins will be listed as as NA

This is why i asked earlier if the EXS24 was showing up in the instrument list......

That makes sense now. I think I mentioned EXS24 and other "normal" plugins were available and working. The reason I thought this might be an issue was when some tracks with normal plugins (multi compressor and direction mixer) just disappeared from a mastering preset template that I constructed and have been using for months. So that may be some other mystery but I've recreated this template and it is working again so I will get back to work. I'm curious however, about why these non applicable Logic Plugins are being listed in the Plugin Manager, which caused my confusion in the first place. Thanx again for your patience. I will talk with Apple about this too, and post their response if they know what is going on.

yes, that was the bit I mis-read......

The Logic internal Plugins are now listed in the Plugin Manager so you can move them around into different User created folders

In previous versions of Logic Pro they were not listed in the plugin Manager.. because there would be no reason to do so....

Now there is a reason and benefit to them being listed.... so you can put them into your own plugin folders...

Ok, I take with Apple support and the LPX guy's installation showed the same N.A. indication for all "Logic" manufactured plugins showed the same as mine, so it is normal. He wasn't absolutely sure why it showed N.A. but checked with a LPX engineer and confirmed that these are built in plugins so there is no need to "verify" them each time the program opens, so you are probably right that N.A. means non-applicible instead on not-available as I originally thought. He was not able to help with my disappearing tracks in my mastering template, but suggest it might have been a bad file to start with and the update deleted the bad bits so my template and saved template projects all lost those 4 aux tracks...still mysterious but fixed now, so I can proceed. I will keep an eye out for lost tracks in other saved projects as well, but I'm less concerned than I was about this being a more general issue. Thanx again...randy

He wasn't absolutely sure why it showed N.A.

This is because they are not normal plugins as such.....

But.. they are now listed so you can re-arrange them into your own User created Folders in the Plugin Manager....

This is, why they didn't show up in the manager under 10.0.7 because there was not point in them being there...

But under 10.1 where you can move them along with all normal plugins...and re-order them etc...... it makes sense for them to be listed... so you can do so

Anyhow.. glad we got that all sorted out in the end and thank you for your patience in the process!

Not sure why you had a problem with your template.. Not seeing any such issues here..... All my user created templates are working normally but it could be some kind of rare bug I suppose... or a form of corruption.

Good luck Randy and let us know please, if you find out what actually happened to your template and why...

    Cheers..

    Good morning.

Have your clients come back from there vacation yet?

Update: I decided to completely wipe out my iMac & reinstalled all of my apps, plugins, software, etc.

Result: Still... No dice. It seems when my two Mackie Pro XT "work" then the main Mackie Control Surface Pro doesn't work 100%. It's more like 50% as the transport buttons & job wheel work as well as all of the function buttons however the faders stay all the way down & snap back into said position if I try to adjust them & the LCD & LED screens don't work. However, when I could get all of these to work then then my two Mack Pro XTs don't work.

Does your client have both the MCU Pro AND the XT or just the MCU Pro?

    Hi,

Have your clients come back from there vacation yet?

Not that I am aware of, no... He said he would be away for 'a few days..' whatever that might actually mean. 3 days... 7 days... Not really sure.

Does your client have both the MCU Pro AND the XT or just the MCU Pro?

Just the MCU Pro I believe...

Have you made contact with Mackie and if so, have they responded and offered any suggestions or updated information?

Note: Over on LPH there is a thread going on that you will probably find useful..

You might want to jump in and ask for help there..

The file listed in the user directory

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.cs

    CS.png

The user Library is hidden by default. To make it visible, go to the Finder into your home folder and select from the Main Menu View ➤ Show View Option. At the bottom is a checkbox "Show Library Folder". This makes the Folder visible again in the Finder

    Hope that helps

After DAYS of troubleshooting (which included a ton of restarts, deleting that .cs file from preferences & even eventually completely wiping out my iMac & spending 14 hours (awake) reinstalling Yosemite, all of my programs & plugins... None of that worked. Spent an additional 4 hours yesterday to arrive at the conclusion of what DOES work... Or at least worked for me:

    1. Update your MCU Pro & XT Pro control surfaces to 4.0.3 (still no update for the C4 Pro)

    2. Delete the control surfaces on LXP within the control surface setup

    3. Quit LXP

    4. Delete that .cs file in the hidden preference folder.

    5. Turn off MCU & XT.

    6. Restart Mac.

    7. UNPLUG all midi cables & usb from MCU & XT (including those plugged into each other).

    8. Launch LXP & open Control Surface set up.

    9. While holding select buttons of faders 1 & 2 on each unit, turn on MCU & XT then select Logic by pressing vpots on either channels 7 & 8.

    10. Plug MCU's USB into Mac (or your USB hub) then scan for new device.

    11.  Once the MCU is read/confirmed, plug the midi for the XT into & out of the MCU then scan for that device.

Follow step 11. for each XT Pro & you should be back up & running. I hope this helps.

The alternative way to delete the CS prefs is as follows..

    1. Quit Logic Pro
    2. In the Finder, choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
    3. Type ~/Library/Preferences in the "Go to the folder" field.
    4. Press the Go button.
    5. Remove the com.apple.logic.pro.cs file from the preferences folder.
    6. Restart the computer.

Note: If you cannot file the CS file you didn't follow the instructions exactly as written : Pay particular attention to the Tilde key that is represented by the ~ symbol. It's not a minus sign. If in doubt simply copy the path from here

    ~/Library/Preferences

...and paste it into the "Go to the Folder" field
