Q: 10.1 & Missing GUI issue with 3rd party Plugins

There are reports of some 3rd party AU plugins in certain situation/setups, missing their GUI (Graphical Interface) due to the fact that 10.1 no longer supports the older legacy AU SDKs

Example U-he plugins:

"Missing GUI" Logic 10.1 fix

We are aware of a "missing GUI" issue for some u-he plugins after updating Logic Pro X to v10.1. The reason is Logic v10.1 has dropped support for legacy AU SDKs, which includes some versions of u-he plugins.

We have created updates to our plugins, and our testing shows these versions work as expected. To solve the issue you will need to install these latest versions over your existing installation.

Note: If installing the new builds does not appear to help, please try rescanning all u-he AU plugins via Logic's Plugin-Manager (Logic > Preferences > Plugin-Manager).

If you have this issue you will need to contact your particular plugin's Dev/Website and obtain an updated version.....

Logic Pro X, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), 10.10.2 Beta 6

    Additional:

For apparently the same reason (No further support for the legacy AU SDK)

Some Native Instrument Plugins (Kontakt for example) may cause Logic Pro X 10.1  to crash when quitting Logic Pro X or in some situations, simply closing a project... when the last project open contains a NI Plugin...

Forthcoming updates from NI will hopefully fix this...

Today I am asking NI via support page to this known issue. Waiting for an answer... But what you are written sounds not good. So I think I am waiting before update to 10.1. Main Stage 3 I have updates yesterday. I think to soon? I will see.

    Hi

Other than an issue with u-He, which they have released fixes for, all I am seeing is that the Plugin GUI may not refresh when switching to certain plugins ( Korg M1/Wavestation).

It is enough to close then re-open the plugin GUI to fix it.

    (OSX 10.10.1 & LPX 10.1.0)

Nope, not on my work OS (OSX 10.9.5) or OSX 10.10.1 testbed. I'll leave the beta's of OS's for those who have spare time ;-)

    Interesting.....

I wonder why mine have been doing so.. even on my 10.9.5 testbed... unless it's a specific K5 lib issue...

Time to do some more testing....

    Thanks CCT!
