Q: Macbook Pro 2012 Yosemite SLOW

I've been using my 2012 13" MBP extensively for the past 3 years and I have never had any problems with it. Recently it has gotten very slow and very sluggish. Files and applications take long to open, I get the dreaded spinning color wheel every time I try to multitask, and it even freaks out when I'm casually surfing the web. I get a loading bar every time I boot it up as well, taking anywhere from 5-10 minutes to completely start. This is a stark difference from the 1-2 minute boot up time I was used to.  I assumed I needed to just clean it up as you have to with Windows every once in a while. But I've run disk utility and it does;t say I need to repair the disk. I just don't know what the problem with it is. Any help in resolving this frustrating issue would be much appreciated. I am pasting my EtreCheck log below.

    Hi Gomezc,

The good news is that you have a good MBP. It seems to be hugged by that crapware that you have on your Mac. They spy on you, use the bandwidth that you pay for and hugging your Mac obviously at your cost.

Close your frontdoor, you cannot allow software to be installed from anywhere on your Mac. You don't have to lock it, if you are there but leaving it open is not that clever. Only install software from the original sources, never Torrents, CNet or any other suspicious sites. If you are unsure, ask.

Your Mac should be fast with the hardware that you have. Look here and here to get the Mac to perform as it should

    Have fun

    Leo
