Q: WiFi problems with the Mac OS X Yosemite update?

Ever since I upgraded to the new Macbook Yosemite software, I have had problems with my wifi where it will just disconnect after a little while, and I have to reconnect. There is no problems with reconnecting, it only takes about 20 seconds, but it is very annoying that every so often it just goes off. This is not a problem on any other devices connected to my wifi and it started the very night I upgraded to Yosemite. Suggestions? Anyone else having this problem?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1), null

Did you do an upgrade install of Yosemite and therefore never reset anything in network preferences? Hears a thread that might help. It doesn't state Yosemite but works about the same.http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202222  I will note that in network preferences/ advanced/ DNS, you should see only you DNS for the router. Should be grayed out. Anything else in there should be deleted. I have myself had to delete my WIFI setting in network preferences as well as any in my keychain access folder and reinstall them to fix WIFI problems. Also any old WIFI networks you are not using. When deleting network WIFI setting and reinstalling then it automatically reinstalls in the keychain. You could also go to Library/System Preferences/system configuration And pull out and put ion your desktop in a folder the following. : Com Apple-airport,preferences.plist/Com Apple-networkidentificatio.plist/Com Apple-wifi.message-tracer.plist/Network Interface.plist/Preferences.plist. Save in folder. then if problem solved trash the folder. Preferences folder should recreate those files.
