Q: my macbook pro laptop can't reconnect to wifi

My laptop(MAC BOOK PRO MID 2012) lose the network(wifi) and can't re find it and the wifi goes off and can't turn it on again until I make restart then it's going to establish the connection again and after a certain time going to lose it again?

I reinstalled a fresh OS X and I updated it after I erased every thing . Now I have mountain lion (The OS came with the laptop)instead of Yosemite that I had before

I tried to rest PROM

I tried to unplug the battery and hold the power button

I tried of course before I reinstall the OSX to do almost every suggestion on the internet like remove the network and re-establish it or to create a new one, update the OSX. Renew the DHCP, and others.

After all of that I still have the problem that if my laptop loose the network can't find it again and even I can't turn it on and the only way to get the wifi back is to restart the laptop,. I noticed When I make a load on the internet the laptop got the wifi lost.

I have other Mac devices (iPhones and ipad) and I check for network interference using network performance and there was no noise, and the quality of the signal was excellent.

So do you think the problem is  a hardware problem, if so then may be I need to see apple specialists but if not and you can solve my problem online then much better ?

Thanks very much.

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for replying to my question, finally someone care about my question. As you see from my previous question I almost tried everything. And as you see reinstalling a fresh OSX should solve most of software problem. Nonetheless, I still have the issue.

The problem is not listed in all of the links and the problem in short and way what I did for that is as the following:

1- Suppose my laptop is off now.

2- turn on my laptop ,then the laptop will find more than one wifi around and it will choose automatically the correct one.router, submask ,ip,DNS,WINS Servers all of them are correct and work fine.

3- after a few minutes to an hour the laptop will lose the network and will not see any network around, moreover the wifi network will go off.

4-after that I find the lock key opened ,which is in the left bottom corner of the network preferences , although I closed it before and can't turn the wifi on.No matter what you do , delete wifi re-establish it or delete all network preferences that will not help to see the network around and turn on the wifi. Notice that other Apple devices that I have (iPhones and ipad) work perfectly on the same network.

5-Now restart the laptop (logout will not work). You will start over from point 2 and so on

6- Now my feeling that. either I have a problem in the hardware, although I tested the hardware using extended hardware test holding D  while restart, and it gave no trouble or there is a network virus on the router , if there is such thing in the world, and I can't do any thing for that virus because this is a public college network.

7- Taking it to apple store to see the problem and fix it will help me and help all other people that have the same problem and may be apple facing a new not discovered fault that will fix it in there new products, but I wish to have a free exception to repair my laptop  ,which it's warranty ended before less than a year, and moreover, I have all apple products so I may deserve a repair exception.

8- I talked to apple support on the phone and they told me it looks like a hardware problem.

9- I took it to an apple certified dealer around me and he said no hardware problem because he tested it on his software and he might be a software problem.

10- To who should I listen now!! Please if you have any suggestion let me know.

    Thanks in advance.
