Jan 1, 2015 1:18 AM in response to Chris Beeson 2by matthiasFG,And what happens after you re-synced with iCloud and import another ics file? Will those newly imported events get synced from that moment on?

Jan 1, 2015 4:58 AM in response to matthiasFGby Chris Beeson 2,I've not tried that - no other .ics files to play with - but I would imagine I'd have to follow the same procedure each time. if I had several .ics files to add, I guess I could add them all to one device, then go through the process to get them all synced at once.
This is just a workaround, not a cure. There's definitely an issue here that Apple needs to address.

Jan 11, 2015 10:06 PM in response to woottsbj25by SaveFerris86,Still no fix apparently, I went in to an apple store but they didn't have a clue about the issue or how to manage calendar functions generally. When you combine this ics issue with the whole problem of sending invitations to email addresses used as apple ID without iCloud turned on it makes it hard to use the apple suite for business.
Thinking of moving across to Fantastical 2....

Jan 21, 2015 1:17 PM in response to SaveFerris86by swatkins01,Same problem with Fantastical 2. Apparently, it uses the same sync engine. However, changing anything in the appointment on Fantastical does cause it to sync. Still just a workaround to a pretty serious bug, though.

So what? Have you read the described problem in this thread?
I deal with a problem of opening an ICS file with an event on the iPhone which gets imported and shown up in the iPhone's local calendar but not synchronized to iCloud. Which makes it almost useless to me, because all my other devices like iMac and iPad do not show the event.

I recently ran into a problem the other day where a client of mine was having trouble with subscribing to a calendar that output an .ics file. They were able to subscribe to it via Outlook or the iCal application on a Mac, but were unable to subscribe with their Apple iPad 2 device
OK, So not being able to put a calendar on icloud from your iPad is not your problem ?
Good luck.

That's what the thread subject is about.

Jan 29, 2015 1:25 PM in response to Csound1by matthiasFG,No, the title is about importing an ICS file containing an event and not about a calendar. Which would be obvious to you if you would invest in reading the already posted entries.
