Q: Cannot run Photoshop CS5 since loading Yosemite . What must I do?

Cannot run Photoshop CS5 since loading Yosemite. I get a message telling me I need legacy Java SE 6 runtime. I have loaded the latest version of Java (8), but that has not helped.

iMac (27-inch Mid 2010), Mac OS X (10.7.4)

Seems that Adobe hard-coded a requirement for Java 6 into their software.

It's been reported by other Photoshop CS5 / Yosemite users as noted here.

Best bet would be to contact Adobe here.

DDo not contact Adobe. It's a waste of time. You have to disable any Java program you might have loaded...like the newest version...first. Then load the version six patch. That worked for me! I was never more thrilled when PS CS 5 opened.
