Q: Logic x cpu spikes Mac Pro

the last core spikes leaving the cores on nothing. is there a way to fix this please? had some problem on Mac Book Pro v9.1 i7 2.3 8gb Ram, thought was just a power thing, but obviously just a logic thing.....

Mac Pro (Late 2013) OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.1

Processor: 3.7 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5

Memory: 16 GB 1866 MHz DDR3 ECC

    Reportedly the fix is in OSX 10.10.2 which should be available.

    Thanks for the suggestion I've updated to 10.10.2 but still have the same issue.

    Try running this fix... which generally speaking, improves CPU/Graphics performance under Yosemite.

     

    Note: Most people have found 10.10.2 resolves this issue as that update apparently already includes this fix but anyhow...

     

    1) Open a terminal

    2) Enter and run the following command, entering your password when prompted:

    sudo nvram boot-args="debug=0x10"

    3) Restart the computer
