Q: How to disconnect macbook pro from apple tv

I disconnected my mac book pro but now no sound is coming from the laptop. Whenever I play anything it starts playing on my apple tv downstairs. I tried choosing a different output source but the only choice is apple tv. Even when its not connected to the tv it still plays from there. It feels like im deaf since absolutely no sound is coming from my laptop. PLEASE HELP. I tried everything even safe booting. I think maybe i somehow used the apple tv on the laptop which is how things messed up. i dont really know.

From your post I understand that you're unable to hear anything from the built-in speakers on your MacBook Pro. I also see that you've done some great troubleshooting so far for this frustrating issue. The steps didn't work unfortunately thanks for trying to help. Em going to try apple support and see if that fixes the problem if not ill visit a nearby apple store and get help. May be a while since the nearest apple store to my house is over an hour away,
