Q: Remote Desktop Client

I've just gotten an update notice for the Remote Desktop client. I want to remove this software, how do I do so?

iMac (27-inch Late 2009), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

As Jason above said, you may find the following helpful. Uninstall or disable Apple Remote Desktop - Apple Support

If you are referring to the Remote Desktop Client rather than the Admin. Application then you should not remove it as the client comes with OS X as part of the OS. You can however disable remote administration in the Sharing pane of System Preferences.
