Q: Need to stop a download in iTunesU on iPad

I accidentally tapped the download of a video lecture instead of the audio-only version.  I cannot stop the downloads in progress.  The mechanisms in place for iTunes don't seem to work for iTunesU.  How do I stop downloads in progress on an iPad in iTunesU?

iPad, iOS 8.1.3

A round stop button appears next to the download cloud after you tap it to start your download. Tapping the stop button will stop the download.

If you don't see a download cloud, you likely have enabled "auto download" for that course. To disable it, tap the gear icon at the top right to manage settings.

    Does that help?

Thanks, but no.  There is no round button and no download cloud in itunes u like there are in other apps. The word "Dowloading" appears where the cloud usually is, but you can't tap on it or swipe it.  There's also no gear icon for the course.  I had to wait for it to finish downloading, then go to Videos app and delete it.

Interesting, because I performed the steps on my iPad before writing them up. Are you using the latest available version of iTunes U, 2.1.1? If not, which version? (It's listed under "iTunes U" in the Settings app.)

Can you give me an example public course you are subscribed to that exhibits the problem? (I haven't seen content appear in the Videos app, which is puzzling me.)
