Q: my macbook air will not turn on

My Macbook Air has consistently had a difficult time waking up. I took it to the Genius Bar two week before it's one-year anniversary, and of course it turned on because I'd run updates in the car on the way. Genius bar declared it healthy. Yeah, right. Now it won't turn on at all...

See if you can access internet recovery. Not on battery alone.

Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys.

From there you should be able to access the built in utilities in OS X Recovery to repair the startup disk and restore OS X.

**  Install updates while the computer is connected to a power source instead of battery.

Hi hjbat. Can you get a startup chime? You could try SMC reset and pram reset.https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3604 If you get it up and running try what Carolyn Samit said. If you still have problems related to this. And the apple store wrote up a repair ticket on it ,They might still look at it as you did this while still under warranty. I'm not apple so I can't say for certain, but you don't know if you don't ask.
