Feb 6, 2015 7:37 AM in response to cecilemarsby léonie,You will first have to move the iPhoto Library to another external drive, that is directly connected and formatted MacOS Extended, Journaled.
Otherwise your repairs may not succeed.
See this link: iPhoto: Issues with FAT32-formatted drives
iPhoto shows again the same failure message that the library needs to be upgraded... Any hint to help me?
What is the exact error message?

Feb 6, 2015 8:50 AM in response to léonieby cecilemars,Can I use a hard drive that was formerly my time machine backup disk?
I tried to open just one photo that is now located on my desktop with iPhoto. But I still get the same error message.
The message just says:
"To open your library with this version of iPhoto, it first need to be prepared.
To prepare the library, use the iPhoto Library Upgrader available from Apple.
