Feb 5, 2015 3:57 AM in response to Dillonphotoby AnthonyGaunt,Thanks for the tip but after following your instructions to the letter my WiFi is no longer recognisable, the message I get is WiFi: No hardware installed!
When copying your file into the folder a number of error messages came up, I have backed up my original file and tried re-installing this but it's not worked. I am on a retina iMac purchased last week...
The message I get when copying and pasting in the folder is:
System extension cannot be used: The system extension "/System/Libraray/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it or contact the products vendor for an update.
Then an another message comes up saying the same thing but about the files:
/System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/Plugins/AirPortAtheros40. kext
/System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/Plugins/AirPortBrcm4331.k ext
/System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/Plugins/AirPortBrcm4360.k ext
/System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/Plugins/AirPortBrcm43224. kext
/System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/Plugins/IO80211NetBooter. kext
I did repair permissions and have restarted a number of times.
Any ideas anyone?

Feb 6, 2015 10:11 AM in response to awesomenezzby Dillonphoto,It was Lysin who posted this solution, not me, however it did work.
I personally took the 7.0 driver from my Time Machine backup (pre 10.10.2) and replaced the 7.1 one.
I'm still waiting for more conclusive results from Apple having sent them my info.
I suggest you contact them if you're still struggling.
All the best

Feb 6, 2015 10:13 AM in response to AnthonyGauntby Dillonphoto,Not sure if you have WiFi 'on' when you did the swap Anthony?
I had the same error messages as you first time, when I did the driver swap using my Time Machine backup, I think I had WiFi on at the time, so turned it off, and managed to make it work by restarting.
Glad to hear you are sorted now, if you have any continuing issues I'd suggest contacting Apple support.
Cheers

Feb 6, 2015 10:14 AM in response to awesomenezzby AnthonyGaunt,I got the update from HKWAY but ran into other issues. I removed the files (not folder) as my post above but just as a precaution I saved them to a folder on the desktop. Once I restarted all the files were re-created by the system and it all works well for me now.
Thanks all!

Feb 6, 2015 10:15 AM in response to Dillonphotoby AnthonyGaunt,Hi Dilonphoto, I turned it off as the instructions, think there must just have been a clash somewhere with preferences that were in use, all sorted and works well now since using the v7.0 file

Feb 7, 2015 8:30 AM in response to Dillonphotoby amorexes,It's ridiculous, I updated my mac 13' retina early 2013, to 10.10.2 and now I have this RIDICULOUS PROBLEM, there isn't enough engineers to resolve this PROBLEM and quickly???

Feb 10, 2015 8:38 AM in response to Lysinby Bryan1701,Thank you Lysin. This solution worked for me with a current Mac Mini. I had no WiFi issues until the 10.2.2 update after which the connection dropped consistently (and my Mac is four feet from the router). I have an Ethernet connection, but the Wi-Fi is still needed to enable some functionality. So far, the connection is holding with the 7.0 driver.

Feb 12, 2015 3:21 AM in response to Dillonphotoby ZyreX,I started to experience very slow wifi in thepast 2 days .
I usually get 150 Mbps on 5ghz, and now barely touch 10 . On 2ghz I can't even reach one.
At first I thought it's a problem with my provider, but after a few calls and more test , I realise that internet works fine on my iPhone, iPad, even windows laptop.
The only affected devices were: 2014 Retina Macbook Pro & 2012 Macbook Air .
And that's how I find found this thread.
Trigger or partial solution, thanks to erdincyildiz mentioning, is the bluetooth.
Putting everything together , I remembered I activated AirDrop few days ago, exactly when I started experiencing this problems.
So I deactivated the bluetooth, and guess what , everything came back to normal . Wireless is working good again.

Feb 12, 2015 1:40 PM in response to Lysinby Meoqak,Thanks a lot, Lysin!
That helped.
MBP 13" Retina late 2013, 2.6
After 10.10.2 Mac became extremely slow, almost no WiFi. Fails to connect for 10 minutes, drops, sees just one or two APs around.
With WiFi enabled it was ruining (looks like DOS-attack) AP so other devices were not able to use AP too.
Fortunately had TB-to-Ethernet adaptor.
Took old driver from this thread, replaced driver, repaired permissions, rebooted. Now works fine.
Thanks again!
I hope Apple will fix it ASAP.
