If you can't turn off or change your passcode settings or these settings are grey or dimmed out, you might be:
- Using Touch ID, which requires a passcode.
- Using a configuration profile that requires a passcode. This is common with business or education devices. Contact your IT administrator for more information.

Feb 6, 2015 11:20 AM in response to lisa86326by pogster,When you press Turn Passcode Off what happens? Any messages? Are you presented with the number pad to enter your passcode? You could also try a reset. Press and hold both the home and sleep buttons for 10 seconds or so until the Apple logo appears. You won't lose any data
