Jan 24, 2015 1:11 AM in response to krisone86by Mi.Shetek,I've got still the samE problem. 8.1.2 is the most terrible update ever. I put it my phone into a pocket with 85% and after an hour I pulled it out very hot and with 71% of battery. Or I recharged it to 100% and after an hour of playing songs on Youtube my battery was on 80% capacity. I hope the new update will come out soon because this phone is otherwise great. It doesn't deserve this.

Jan 24, 2015 1:46 AM in response to Mi.Shetekby donald9010,Same problem to me
i can't no longer stand this situation, also because i struggled with iphone5 fast battery drain for two years until they promoted the substitution battery campaign
Hope apple will fix asap

Jan 24, 2015 3:15 PM in response to Mi.Shetekby Fabio3024,I feel you man. I was walking for 20 minutes listening to music . It was at 86%. Then when 20m passed by, it was at 73%.
But guys, haven't we all noticed the phone charges WAY faster? Well at least for me. Thing is, charges fast, drains fast.

Jan 26, 2015 3:14 PM in response to Fabio3024by Littlechilie,Ios 7 was the last in the line of stable updates to be released, all other updates have failed to deliver . Apple needs to allow downgrading to ios 7.1.2 for a permanent solution.

Jan 27, 2015 9:06 AM in response to hassan m.by calebfromnashville,My experience with 8.1.1/8.1.2 is superb- I am usually going to bed with 9+ hours of use and %20 or more left on my Six.
Typically on LTE and a fairly heavy user.
I'd recommend getting the battery checked.

Jan 28, 2015 8:11 PM in response to hassan m.by Rakic1990,- I am having the exact same issue! Plus the empty battery with a lightning cable screen does not show up when iPhone is completely drained, instead an iPhone just blinks when power button is pressed, like just "backlight" turns on. If I put it on a charger, battery screen (without lightning cable) shows up and starts charging normaly.
- Also, I am experiencing enormous battery drain. Usage time is something about 4 hours. It's just regular use, wifi browsing, mail and texting. Bit of a Facebook. Every two minutes, 1% goes down... My regular iPhone 6 4.7" has usage time about 6 hours.
- An iPhone overheats too. It's always, literally always pretty hot at the upper right back side.
Tried restoring couple of times, with Restore mode, DFU, Set up as new and the problem persists... I am currently on 8.1.2, downgraded from 8.1.3
I would like to mention that I've bought my 6 Plus yesterday (it was 8.0.2), and upon unboxing it only had 36% of juice. Am I wrong or new iPhone should never have less than about 80-90%? Maybe that f***ed up my battery when it was still in the box?
Thanks.

Jan 29, 2015 12:16 PM in response to Rakic1990by agentfuller,so I am on my 4th iphone 6 and I feel like I should now be a "genius" at the Apple Store. None of the "geniuses" in the store that I went to was able to figure out my problem, but I did. They kept telling me it was crashing apps and that I needed to delete the apps. I showed them I didn't even have those apps on my phone. This is what made me think that clearly there was something thinking these crashing apps were on my phone but they weren't...So i thought there had to be something linked between the cloud and my phone causing this issue. I turned off my cloud and now my phone works GREAT! My phone is now showing battery usage properly (4 hours of usage and 3 days in standby) and my phone battery usage is not showing the same usage and standby hours (the magic fairy using my phone consistently throughout the middle of the night). The downside is, I can't use the fine my iphone feature. Hopefully I never loose my phone. This is definitely not ideal, but at least I can use my phone now with worrying about the battery dying. I sure hope Apple is paying attention to this and are working on a fix.
Not sure if this will solve others problems, but it definitely solved mine.

Jan 31, 2015 2:36 PM in response to Jay Dedapperby cjalonso1,Thank you! After several weeks of going to the Apple Store to no avail, your suggestion to check this issue made the entire difference. One of my desktops was behaving exactly as you described. I followed your instructions and now my iPhone is back to excellent battery behavior.

Feb 1, 2015 3:25 AM in response to cjalonso1by donald9010,Did you mean the advice of turning off iCloud?
i tried but not even this one worked to mine

Feb 1, 2015 5:01 AM in response to donald9010by cjalonso1,Please read Jay Dedapper's post in the thread above. It had to do with the secd process, which is related to the keychain. His description of the problem was what I found in one of my desktops (runaway memory use by that process), and after applying his fix, battery behavior is now back to being great.

Feb 3, 2015 5:34 AM in response to hassan m.by fireman535,Battery issues here too folks... My iPhone 6 bought pre-sale worked unbelievably until early January. My first inclination was to check if anyone else was having the problem. Of course, the answer was yes. Since then I've taken my phone to the Apple store where the Genius told me he thought it was an app that was killing the battery. From there I:
Restored phone from backup.
Turned off location services.
Updated to 8.1.2
Reset all settings.
Updated to 8.1.3
Turned off 'Find my iPhone'
Nothing seems to fix this issue. Some of the suggestions such as the Keychain issue do not apply to me, I don't use those features. I've tried being patient thinking the 'next' update might fix the issue. But spending $850 for a phone that doesn't work properly has me beyond frustrated. I'm taking it back to the Apple Store this morning in hopes that something new can be found.

Feb 7, 2015 7:37 AM in response to hassan m.by stuparb,I also found this great video which shows how to replace the battery on the iPhone 6 if you end up deciding it's actually a battery issue. Looks relatively simple.
